The Public Land Survey System (PLSS), whether you are a Colonial, PLSS, or Texas Surveyor, is an Important Topic for Any Examinee. If you’ve practiced in the PLSS, knowing the types of corners is easy. A colonial surveyor? Read the BLM Manual of 2009 and know the definitions of (1) existent, (2) obliterated, and (3) lost corners! Beware, because of and be able to recall the keywords of each term because they are often formed into NCEES questions.
